have you read the chapter about Chris Camillo in The New market wizards book? It explains a documented way a regular guy beat the market without fundamental of technical analysis. I know this sounds like some spam bot pushing a scheme or crypto but it seriously is real. He looks for trends in consumer products usually and sells when the street understands. Examples are things like youtube stars pushing elf cosmetics and the analysts not know about that and miss the move in the stock
I think once in a while something will just come across your path that's in your circle of confidence maybe it'll be only once every 10 years but I think eventually something of that nature will hit you on the head where you don't need to spend a lot of time

Sure, totally possible, but you need to invest a lot of time. Which you (we) usually do not have.
