the paradox of social networking
We are connected. We are sharing, liking, commenting, posting pictures, chatting, stalking all the time. World seems more connected than ever. And yet we are in a way getting far, far away from each other. In the bulk of ‘quasi’ connections we simply do not notice that someone is missing.
I closed my Facebook account for a while. Since I am not that sexy chick who has 50 hard core stalkers while posting her photos in bra, probably 7 out of 706 'friends’ noticed that I am not there anymore. That is one percent. I guess. I am not sure. Maybe more, maybe less.
This is a reality of the world we live in. We are so connected but yet we are so far apart.
