route confirmation signs

Actually, I haven’t learned this today and it is quite useless knowledge … Anyways, I was thinking if there is a pattern about appearance of route confirmation signs on highways (freeways, motorways). As a matter of fact there is.

They always appear after you pass a freeway ramp or highway/motorway junction/interchange. Because of the vocabulary difficulties I shall put it quite simple. They always appear after you enter freeway/highway. It is nice to know how many miles/km is to the your destination right after you’re on track, right?

This is the case for Europe. But I reckon it is similar all over the world.

Sometimes you have to think about little and seemingly unimportant stuff to see the big picture.
